The wonderful depth and Buddhist culture of Sri Lanka risks quickly becoming lost as cities rapidly develop, leaving rural children behind. The vast majority of the poor reside in these rural areas, with limited access to education and healthcare. But it’s not too late. By injecting struggling communities with funding for schools, home improvements, and assistance during times of greatest need, we can reignite the magic of this land and its people.

That’s why we created Diriya Sahana.

Ngo Objectives

1. Donation of spectacles, clothes medicine, etc, to the sick and needy

2. Donation of wheelchairs and other apparatus to disabled persons.

3. Assistance for improving education and skill development of children of underprivileged

families by donating textbooks, stationery computers, and other needs for the development of their educational careers.

4. Granting scholarships to deserving students who lack resources for countering their education

5. Donation of dry rations Cloth and portable water to victims of natural disasters such as floods draughts etc.

6. Establishment of Montessori schools in development areas where there are no such institutes.

7. Assisting home elders.

8. Donation of materials to victims of natural disasters to build houses

9. Donation of Blood to Blood bank

10. Alleviation of poverty by the establishment of the economic project in the village

11. Provide of Vocational Training facility to the unemployed in order to find employment

12. Volunteer with Community and Animal Conservation
